Atrium Solutions Inc. launched their innovative ERS AI Platform in 2020, utilizing the voice of Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi.
“We aren’t necessarily the biggest Star Wars fans, so much as we wanted a very distinctive voice for our AI,” said Chief Technology Officer Dan Ramsay.

Understanding the pain associated with the fleet experience using traditional methods of picking up the phone during an emergency event, Atrium was launched to automate the process. Fleets and commercial tire dealers no longer have to pick up the phone to request service across Canada. Instead, they give Obi-Wan the necessary commands, and within an average of 30 seconds, their dispatch is handled. Shortly after, they receive ETA communications.

“We knew our ERS AI Platform could be disruptive. We are now seeing that disruption unfold in the data coming out of Q1 across Canada,” says CEO & President Todd Richardson.

During the first quarter of 2024, Atrium has reached a significant milestone. Inbound telephone calls for service have dropped by 26%, while service requests through Atrium’s AI Platform have increased by 330%. The net result for the service providers who have been onboarded onto Atrium’s Platform has been an increase in ERS business of 25% year-over-year in a tough commercial tire market. The majority of ERS service requests are now coming from AI versus someone picking up a telephone, signaling a groundbreaking shift in the industry.

This surge in AI adoption is particularly notable among major fleets spanning various sectors. These fleets are increasingly favoring AI-driven dispatching services over traditional telephone methods. This trend emerges against the backdrop of a challenging commercial tire market, where fleets confront heightened demands and pressures.

What propels this noteworthy transition? Fleets point to several compelling factors, including the remarkable time-saving advantages, heightened transparency throughout the process, and the elimination of frustrating inefficiencies.

Moreover, Atrium’s achievement gains further significance when considering the tangible impact it has on emergency response times. When the dispatcher, driver, and service providers can be seamlessly connected within 9 seconds during an emergency event, it drastically accelerates the speed of service delivery.
